Nio had 4,100 insurance registrations last week and 11,000 from August 1 to August 20.

For the week of August 14 to August 20, Li Auto sold 8,000 units, continuing to top the list of China’s new car-making forces, the company said today on Weibo.

As before, Li Auto didn’t explain the basis for calculating that weekly sales, but apparently they were insurance registrations. The company suspended sharing this data in May, but has since resumed sharing.

Between August 1 and August 20, insurance registrations for Li Auto vehicles were 21,500 units.

Nio (NYSE: NIO) had 4,100 insurance registrations last week and 11,000 from August 1 to August 20.

Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) was at 3,200 units last week and 8,400 from August 1 to August 20

Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) was at 13,900 units last week and 39,400 units from August 1 to August 20.

BYD was at 48,300 units last week and 127,600 from August 1 to August 20.

BYD’s premium brand Denza was at 2,400 units last week and 7,000 units from August 1 to August 20.
